IMPORTANT INFORMATION AT A GLANCE

Check-in for Hotel David takes place at the reception of our sister hotel, Hotel Goliath am Dom, Goliathstraße 10, 93047 Regensburg.

Hotel David is located just about 100 metres away, in the parallel street Goldene-Bären-Straße.

If you are arriving by car, please drive to Hotel Goliath am Dom, Goliathstraße 10, first.

You can stop directly in front of the hotel, unload your luggage and check in at reception.

The final few metres to the hotel lead through Regensburg’s pedestrian zone. As a hotel guest, you are permitted to drive directly to Hotel Goliath at any time. Please do not be concerned if your navigation system stops routing you before the pedestrian zone or indicates restricted access.

After check-in, you can park your car nearby. Hotel David is only about 100 metres from Hotel Goliath, and you can then walk to the hotel with your luggage.

Our guests can use the Porta Praetoria parking garage. Access is via Unter den Schwibbögen 2 and leads through the almost 2,000-year-old Porta Praetoria.

The historic Roman gateway is naturally quite narrow, but it can also be passed with larger cars. Please drive through slowly and carefully.

We have 10 designated Hotel Goliath parking spaces for our guests. If these are occupied, you may also use any other available public parking space in the garage.

Parking costs €20 per 24 hours. Unfortunately, parking spaces cannot be reserved in advance.

When entering the garage, please take a regular parking ticket. You can exchange it at the Hotel Goliath reception for an exit ticket and have the parking fee added to your hotel bill. Alternatively, you may pay for your ticket directly at the payment machine.

If the garage is completely full, we recommend Parkhaus Dachauplatz, which is approximately a 5–7 minute walk from Hotel Goliath and currently costs €14 per 24 hours.

Arrive, step out – we’ll take care of the rest.

On request, we will park your car for you and have it ready again when you depart.

Even if you are travelling with a lot of luggage, please drive to Hotel Goliath am Dom first and check in there.

After check-in, you may continue by car to Hotel David and unload your luggage directly at the hotel. A short stop of approximately 4–5 minutes is possible.

You can then continue to the parking garage.

As direct access to Hotel David is somewhat more complicated due to the historic Old Town and its traffic regulations, we recommend this option mainly for guests with heavy luggage or limited mobility.

Hotel David is located in a historic building dating back around 900 years. Due to its protected architecture, the hotel does not have a lift.

All rooms are located on the upper floors and are accessible only by stairs. Please take this into consideration, particularly if you have limited mobility or are travelling with heavy luggage.

For electric vehicles, 6 charging stations are available in the courtyard in front of the entrance to the underground parking garage.

The regular parking fee is €20 per 24 hours. Charging costs are billed separately via the respective third-party provider.

Charging stations are available subject to availability.

Regensburg’s Old Town is located within a low-emission zone. Vehicles generally require a green German emissions sticker (“Umweltplakette”) to enter the area.

Please note that permission for hotel guests to drive to Hotel Goliath am Dom does not replace the regulations of the low-emission zone.
